Yorkville U approves pathway to degree
We have exciting news to share with all CapU Theatre alumni, recent graduates and current students!
Yorkville University has just approved a pathway from all three CapU Theatre programs to their Bachelor of Creative Arts Degree.
What is a “pathway?”
In this case, a pathway refers to a pre-approved transfer between university programs—specifically, our Acting for Stage & Screen, Musical Theatre and Technical Theatre diploma programs—to the Yorkville Bachelor of Creative Arts Degree.
The pathway will accelerate and simplify the application process.
Should you be interested in applying, Yorkville will immediately recognize your diploma. You do not have to apply for transfer credits, because your courses have already been pre-approved.
Yorkville will also waive the application fee to any CapU Theatre applicants.
What is the Bachelor of Creative Arts Degree?
The Bachelor of Creative Arts (BCA) Degree program (available entirely online or on campus) is designed for you to complete a Bachelor’s degree that springboards from your diploma into a project with your own creative focus. It’s meant to give creatives the skills and knowledge needed to succeed as leaders and entrepreneurs in the creative industries.
Learn how to get artistic and creative ventures planned, funded and made.
Complete the program entirely online, on-campus in Toronto or a hybrid.
The program is also designed to be flexible to fit around & support careers in the creative industries.
How can I learn more?
Please contact Yorkville U directly through their Outeach Pathway Advisor and Coordinator Ian Wych to learn more about the program, start dates, costs and financial assistance available.
You can also schedule an appointment with Ian directly through his scheduling page.
*There is currently an approximate $6000 bursary available for all students joining the BCA this july.
